Free Valentine's Day Dance
February 14, 2020
Come to our free 50+ Valentine's Day Dance to help celebrate this Happy Hearts Day! The dance will take place from 1pm - 3pm in the Centennial Recreation Center's Senior Cafe on Friday, February 14, 2020. We will have music, raffles and refreshments!
Learn Bridge in a Day

Age Well, Drive Smart

Take part in the California Highway Patrol (CHP) "Age Well, Drive Smart" senior Driver education class. "Age Well, Drive Smart" was developed to assist senior drivers, 65 years of age and older, to continue to drive safely. This free class is taught by a CHP Officer and co-taught by a CHP Senior Volunteer. The curriculum addresses such topics as aging and its effects on safe driving, maintaining good physical healthy, self-assessment, and more.
1950's Themed Older Adult Dance Party

Shake, rattle and roll on over to a 1950's Dance Party. This free event is hosted by Anthem who will also provide free refreshments! Held at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center at 17900 Monterey Road in Morgan Hill, this is an event that you won't want to miss.
Life Care Planning Workshop

We are hosting a free workshop on Life Care Planning on Monday, October 7th. You will have the opportunity to learn tips on financial planning and go through the fun exercise of completing your life plan AND have it notarized for you onsite, free of charge. We hope you take advantage of this great opportunity.
Please join us at Westmont of Cochrane Road in Morgan Hill beginning at 2:30PM with a Financial Planning Session with Peggy Martin. This will be followed by a Life Care Planning Presentation by Dr. Ruma Kumar from Kaiser Permanente. You may have your document notarized at this location from 3:30PM - 4:00PM.
Older Adult Focus Group

To plan, coordinate, and provide a network of support services and programs to ensure that the diverse needs of the older adult community are met through accessible and cost-effective models of delivery.
We would like to invite you to a Focus Group for the City of Morgan Hill Older Adult Programs and Services following our Senior Resource Fair on October 10 from 2:00PM until 3:30PM. We welcome all participants that are interested in moving Morgan Hill forward as being the most amazing City to age. This will be a goal that we can all be excited about and all work towards together!
Film Screening of "Sue's Story"

Every four seconds, another person is diagnosed with dementia. Among them is Sue Berghoff. She has Lewy Body Dementia (LBD) - one of the leading causes of dementia next to Alzheimer’s and Parkinson's disease. There is no cure yet for this fatal disease. Sue is on a remarkable journey making something positive from her diagnosis. Join us for "Sue's Story," a documentary film, followed by a panel discussion and learn what’s being done in our county to change things for the better.
4th Annual Senior Resource Fair

End of Summer Party and Salmon Cooking Demonstration

Join us as we celebrate the end of summer, play a little Bocce Ball and watch a cooking demonstration on how to cook salmon. Brian Allee, who has presented to our Lifelong Learning classes about salmon and sustainable fishing, will be cooking salmon and sharing some of his favorite recipes with us.
Please bring a side dish to share and a healthy appetite.
